Made of plastic, it is two piece and separates at the center. Top half is red, the bottom half is ivory. Has 5 holes on the top, please see pictures. There are no chips or cracks, very clean inside and out. Shows the slightest bit of wear, there is one small mark like nail polish on one side, about 1/2" long. Measures about 4-1/4" high x 4-1/2" diameter.There are no markings as to the company that made this yarn holder.Great idea! Women used to use these all the time. And then, they became very collectible.
